UD Naked Smoky Palette

With Urban Decay very recently launching their 4th eyeshadow palette in the Naked series the hype and craziness took over department stores and makeup counters. There was queuing, elbowing and frantic buying and all UD counters were  super busy trying to keep up with demand. Ladies & gentlemen, I give you NAKED SMOKY.

I didn't think I could get excited about another Nakes palette but... as soon as it arrived in Pink Elephnat HQ and I had a play, I was in love! This palette comes in the best packaging in the entire line: light, slick & easy to keep clean.

The shades in it are just wonderful with great variety of shades and textures. The palette consists of a dozen sultry, smoky neutrals, including nine never-before-seen shades and three exclusives from past palettes. The shadows are a lovely and creamy with a lot of colour payoff and very little fallout.

The palette comes with a double ended brush, one side is a fluffy blender, the other a pencil / smudger brush. I am generally not a fan of brushes that come with palettes but this one could be used in an emergency.

What I love about this particular palette is that it is extremely versatile - you can create very subtle day looks and go all the way to a dramatic super smokey look. The one thing you may miss in this palette is a black eyeshadow if it's something you would use a lot in your smokey looks.

Here is an quick easy daytime look I created by using three shades: Dirtysweet, Radar & Whiskey. I have a feeling these will be my favourite shades of the palette.
