New In | La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Unifiant

Effaclar Duo Unifiant | Pink Elephant Blog

You may be aware that I have harped on about Effaclar Duo for absolute ages before it became Effaclar Duo +. In a nutshell, it's a very well loved acne treatment and one of my favourite products for blemish control - it reduces the appearance of blemishes, scars and unclogs pores. Now La Roche-Posay has launched the tinted version Effaclar Duo + Unifiant.

Effaclar Duo + is one of the best, most effective & gentle cosmetic acne treatments I have ever used and it's an absolute staple in my everyday skincare routine. The new launch, Effaclar Duo + Unifiant*, does everything the regular version does but also gives you a hint of coverage as well. And by a hint, I mean a hint. If you are looking for a tinted moisturiser here, this will not be for you.

The product is designed to unify and even out your complexion rather than cover anything. It's great used under your regular makeup for a bit of extra evening out or maybe as a weekend/gym product if you are just looking to take the edge of any spots or redness.

What I love about all of the Effaclar Duo + products is that they are super gentle and non-drying, which is essential if you are suffering from acne, especially if you are not a teen anymore! No dry flaky or irritated skin here!

The one gripe I have with this product is the shade selection. There are two to pick from at the moment: light and medium. And, as it's always the case with pharmacy makeup, the light is not light! It's quite dark, in fact... The good thing is that the tint is so faint that you might get away with it on a paler skin, but test before you buy.

Effaclar Duo + Unifiant will set you back €22.99 (in Boots and pharmacies nationwide) and it's totally worth it, but if your budget is tight,  maybe go for the clear version that you can use morning & evening.

Being an absolute Effaclar Duo addict I love this product & will be re-purchasing as soon as I run out! If you are struggling with acne I highly recommend you check out the Effaclar Duo + range!
