This spring and summer is all about the pastels and it is no different in the nail department. As much as I love my dark reds, purples and blacks I am ready to put them aside and make space for airy fairy pastel shades. L'Oreal has had my attention for a while now with their latest nail offering being a gorgeous little collection of four white based shades: Les Blancs. The first one I've picked up to see if I like it is number 852 Pistachio Dragée, which is a gorgeous milky pistachio / mint colour. I love the shade and am very happy with the formula of the polish, great coverage in two coats and good lasting power. It goes on a bit streaky with the first coat but the second coat makes everything look flawless.
The only little thing I don't love about this polish is the wide brush. I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't like these but I have very small nails and it is hard for me to get precise edges with brushes like that. I'm sure all of you reading this will see it as a positive. All in all, I absolutely love this polish and will be picking up the other 3 gorgeous shades for sure. The other colours are also all white based (hence the name) - there is a gorgeous pale lavender (851 Nouvelle Vague), peach (856 Peach Neglige) and a gentle yellow (850 Lemon Meringue). They will all be making appearances on the blog in the coming weeks.
I love the fact that the Color Riche polishes come in small 5ml bottles. I never really finish the large nail polishes before they go gloopy.
