We’re big advocates of SPF as pretty much the best thing you can do for your face, alongside guzzling litres of water down each day. It’s the one skincare step I’ll try never to miss but even so, there’s inevitably a little sun damage on show after a summer of lots of running in the elements (balanced out with lots of cake) ten days beach time and even a couple of boat trips. Now is the time to queue damage control and I’d generally be seeking this in the form of heavier night creams, oil cleansers and nourishing masks. So it seemed to be nothing short of perfect timing when details of La Roche Posay's newest Hydraphase Intense mask arrive in Pink Elephant HQ.
With a consistency more like a moisturizer, the mask is almost opaque on application and takes around ten minutes to work it’s magic. With a formula including our favourite hyaluronic acid combined with high-concentration thermal spring water, the hydrating combo claims to be the perfect remedy to sun exposed skin. The results are impressive. My skin was left softer than I can ever remember it being and that’s before I even applied a moisturizer. With a lighter than expected consistency for such a nourishing mask, I’d imagine this on to be suitable for even the oily skin and is definitely a winner for drier skin like my own. A definite new favourite after a little too much summer sun and well worth picking up for post-holiday skin.
La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Mask is available in pharmacies nationwide RRP €16.50
