A Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette landed under my Christmas tree this year thanks to my amazing sister in law. She picked perfectly - a neutral, not too shimmery, bronze selection of shades that is right up my alley - The Sophisticate Palette.
As with all of Charlotte's eye shadow quads the palette consists of a prime, enhance, pop and smoke shade. The prime shade is a gorgeous flesh toned cream that has a small bit of very fine shimmer running through it - perfect for evening out the colour of your eye lid. The enhance shade is one of those shades that I am always very drawn to, i t's a very soft neutral brown, completely matte, fantastically pigmented and something that could be used on its own just for a quick wash of colour on the lid. The third shade is a rich warm chocolate brown with very fine gold shimmer shot through it. Finally, the smoke shade - a beautiful matte smokey gray-brown. All of the shades are butter-soft and just a dream to blend!
I don't often say this, but I feel like this is a make-up must have, a palette that can take you, as Charlotte herself puts it, "from dusk to desk to disco". You can very easily achieve a nice & quick eye shadow look by just swiping the enhance shade all over your lid or you can go all out and use all of the shades.
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and Charlotte gets double points from me for not including the little foam applicators that usually come with eye shadow palettes - I always take them out and am left with a empty hole in my palette.
There is no denying it, the Charlotte Tilbury products are expensive - the Luxury Palettes will set you back €50 but to me they are absolutely worth it, the quality is amazing! I will be checking out more of Charlotte's products in January, I hear great things about the recently released matte lipsticks...
