I have a thing for changing my scent with the seasons. For the past few wintery months I’ve been a little obsessed with Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Extreme, a gorgeous deep and wintery scent that will be a favourite of mine for years to come. With the reappearance of our old pal sunlight, springtime has officially arrived and I think it’s only right to change things up a little when it comes to perfume this time of year.
L’Occitane create some of my favourite scents (including Arlesienne last year) so when I got wind of their latest limited edition Collection de Grasse fig scent, I was excited to get a sneak peek. Their traditional French take on fragrance is so delicate and always with an unusual twist. I’m generally on the fence when it comes to fig scents, although that said I’ve found that different brands take on the scent ‘fig’ varies wildly. I’d a feeling as with most L’Occitane scents that I was going to like this one, and I was right. I can’t get enough!
Figuier & Osmanthus is laced with intoxicating notes of soft earthy fig, beautifully balanced with the Asian influence of Osmanthus, lending a lightness to it that somehow still lingers and is perfect for transitioning from winter to spring. Perfume is such an individual thing that it’s hard to make a recommendation, although rarely have I had so much interest around what I’m wearing, so clearly I’m not the only one a little in love with this scent!
Available from L’Occitane stores nationwide from the end of April as a limited edition Collection de Grasse fragrance, so get it while it lasts!
