And the time has finally come - the store will open on Dublin's Grafton street before Christmas this year (unfortunately, there is not official launch date as of yet, but we will keep you posted).

OOTD: Metallic Details

OOTD1.jpg

OOTD

Having being firmly on team rose-gold for quite a few years now, I’ve just come on board with yellow gold and more recently silver.

There was a time when my jewellery was exclusively silver, bear in mind this was around the same time that I use to iron my hair with an actual iron...

It was on our mini-honeymoon in Sicily this summer that a silver Marc Jacobs watch found its way onto my person, courtesy of my new husband. I’d intended on a slinkier more delicate design, but after trying on every single watch Marc Jacobs has ever made, I came to the conclusion that anything other than chunky looks a little elderly on me.

And then there were the loafers, all shiny and eye-catching in Zara. I managed to walk away on seeing them the first time but they eventually came home with me… shocker.

I’m loving a red lip teamed with silver at the moment, my current favorite being Givenchy’s ten year anniversary Le Rouge lipstick. Great long-lasting pigment with a lovely velvety finish, wrapped up in a leather & silver casing; you’re not going to get much fancier!

Summer Styling: Take One Pair of Shorts...

Day-to-Night1.jpg

Holiday Packing

Packing. It's not an easy task, especially when you're getting charged by the kilo and have ten days and nights worth of outfits to pull out of that bag of tricks. The secret here is to double up your casuals as evening outfits, make sure at least some pieces are plain enough staples that can work just as easily at the beach as with cocktails when the sun goes down.

Holiday Lookbook: Day to Night

Case in point, the simple cut-off jean shorts. Truth be told, my very favourite pair were originally my favourite jeans which having been worn to the point of no return, I took to them with a scissors and up-cycled into short shorts. They're the perfect beach bum get-up with a fringed vest top and do a double act into the night when teamed with heels, a white shirt and embellished clutch. The same double-up principle can be applied to white skinnies, a little black dress or any staple piece generally in a solid colour.

Now just don't go filling up all that extra case room with make-up; it's surprising what fifteen nail polishes can weigh!

Evening on the Beach

IMG_6294.jpg

Evening Walk on the BeachIn this glorious weather we have been enjoying lately I have re-discovered the beach that is just a short walk away from my house. My husband & I have been walking there pretty much every evening. I cannot express how much I adore all these hues of blue, purple and gray that the sky displays at this time of day.

It's been warm enough to get the summery attire out and that day I wore little else than a very flowy and light cobalt jersey dress from H&M and a gorgeous necklace from Penneys. I have really been loving both those pieces lately.

New in: Stella & Dot Jewellery

IMG_5956.jpg

Stella & DotI have recently been to a trunk show... It's not something I go to often, as for some reason I associate them with Tupperware and hard sales. The Stella & Dot event  was nothing like that! The trunk show was like shopping in an exclusive boutique. I was browsing around with a glass of bubbly in my hand and chatting to some lovely ladies.

Stella & Dot Independent Stylist Emma McCormack

If you haven't heard of Stella & Dot yet, you will no doubt soon. Stella & Dot are a social selling company from San Francisco that has just recently landed on our shores. They design a gorgeous line of jewellery and  accessories that you can buy online or through one of their stylists, like Emma McCormack, who was my host.

I was really impressed by the quality and beautiful design of the pieces. There is something there for everyone - whether you are looking for a big statement piece or just a dainty pair of earrings, they have it all. Stella & Dot Stella & Dot I was very impressed with the fact that some of the Stella & Dot Jewellery is "convertible". The pendant earrings (above) can be made shorter, some of the necklaces can be changed in length and different strands can be taken off or added on depending on what look you are going for.

Stella & DotStella & DotStella & Dot Stella & Dot Stella & DotThe other thing, the packaging!!! It's beautiful and you know, I'm a sucker for nice packaging!! All the pieces come beautifully wrapped & the boxes have cute little messages printed on them on them, perfect for gifts (they would make fab bridesmaids presents - just saying...!).Stella & Dot Stella & DotAt the shows you can also pick up a nice range of accessories. I particularly loved the handbags! The neon yellow clutch below is to die for! The bags also have cute little positive messages like "Hello Gorgeous" or "Full-Time Fabulous" inside. Love that!

Stella & DotStella & Dot Stella & DotMake sure you check out Emma's website and head to a trunk show when you get a chance!

It's really worth going and having a look. I know that this is where I will be stocking up on gifts for the ladies in my life!

You can contact Emma via Facebook. Make sure you follow her page for special offers, sales alerts and competitions!!
