Coffee Time with The Copper Collection (video)

The Copper Collection

Like most people, I can't begin a morning without a cup of coffee, partly because of the much needed caffeine but most of all because making it is a bit of a ritual to me and feels therapeutic. I used to make my coffee in a very noisy machine at home which was great but ever since I have discovered The Copper Collection I have been loving filtered coffee and my gorgeous copper stand looks fab in my kitchen! Did I mention the stand is copper?!!

The talented ladies behind The Copper Collection, Danielle & Deirbhile, create hand crafted pour over / filtered coffee stands for coffee shops, at home baristas and lovers of modern lifestyle and decor. Copper is all the rage in interior design at the moment and the coffee stands will make your kitchen look instantly stylish. They also make fantastic birthday / wedding / house warming gifts.

The brewing of filtered coffee comes from Japan and is a lovely process. It doesn't take long and it produces a wonderful, flavourful cup of coffee. I love how tactile the whole experience is!

Easy & Impressive Last Minute Halloween Makeup

Screen Shot 2014-10-31 at 08.53.07

Usually I am very organised when it comes to all holidays but this year Halloween sneaked up on me and (shock, horror!) I haven't even carved a pumpkin! So in the spirit of last minute, panicked solutions I thought I'll show you my go-to scary makeup I throw on when I basically have failed to get a good costume in time!

When this happens I go for the effective but fairly easy Sugar Skull makeup. The great thing is that the makeup is the costume and I usually just wear a long black dress with it (a black maxi would be perfect!). This look also doesn't require many special purchases, I always have white facepaint lying around somewhere!

What you will need: - white facepaint (very pale foundation will work well too) - colourful eyeshadow of your choice (I went for purple, Sleek do some great vibrant colours) -optional: cream eyeshadow to prime (in the same colour as you powder eyeshadow) - red lipliner -black gel liner (in pen form and a pot) - translucent powder - synthetic brush for blending - optional: Pritt Stick glue and some cold water - flower crown (Penneys or H&M always stock them!)
